Laird
8” x 11”
“The Laird was and is the local lord and land owner in Scotland. A title by inheritance or bestowed by royalty, he is responsible for all who inhabit and work on his land. Among those inhabitants are various species of elk or deer. The male, vying for the attentions of females, protecting them and his young, like his human counterpart is indeed Laird of all he surveys, his kingdom is the wild meadows and forests, his strength must be inviolable, as he earns the right to keep his kingdom intact and ensure the continuation of his genes, inherited by his young through the ages.”
